High Heels And Why They Hamper A Healthy Body:

OMG! Have you seen the pair of five inch heels Gwyneth Paltrow donned for the charity screening of Iron Man at the Odeon in London? They are just to die for! She has displayed an amazing sense of style and a fabulous body makeover ever since she started promoting her new flick Iron Man.

But keeping aside the glamour quotient and speaking a bit more sanely, how great exactly are these high heels for the body? Especially as Gwynny baby was spotted getting out of a back specialist’s clinic as well.

If like Gwyneth you too love to wear heels that tower 7 inches, you could be in big trouble in a lot of places south of your torso. More specific targets that are affected are the knees, ankles and feet. A decade of religiously wearing high heels might also result in a problem known as osteoarthritis.

Podiatrists state very emphatically that the sexy curves high heels lend a person’s legs are not an anatomical position to be in. Regular sized women however, perhaps have less to fear from these problems than overweight or obese women.

While I’m not saying that in order to wear high heels you should have a weight loss training plan, it sure sounds like a nice incentive. But alas, wish it were that easy! The loveliest things in life usually come with a hu-uge price tag attached. Healthy heels have to be square-toed shoes that have one-half to three quarters of an inch. (Check out my shoe quiz result below!)

At Body Makeovers we can still get you looking as glam and in better shape than Gwyneth Paltrow. Just look at how we transformed our clients with our Six Week Body Makeover!
