The Importance Of Being A (Healthy) Child:

Michael Thurmond Body Makeovers and children have an association that can be traced back to the very origins of our organization. Teenage children who came from homes that couldn’t string expenses together or were from single parent homes in the northern Californian area of Russian River were the early wards of Michael Thurmond.

Physical destitution when coupled with a lack of mental stimulation can be very detrimental to the growth of a child, especially so for a teenager. Exposure to unhealthy eating habits and lack of proper education about nutrition and life-skills are factors that contribute to obesity and may even result in an individual being under-weight.

It is important to build immunity to epidemics and diseases and resistance to environmental pollution in order for a growing child to develop properly. Michael Thurmond recognized these essential requirements and fostered them in his wards. He formulated a plan that not only looked after the basic fitness of these children but also emphasized the need for setting positive goals and planning the future.

Building a developing teenager’s self-esteem and encouraging them to a healthy way of living were given equal importance. Today, the Children’s Program at Body Makeovers Systems has been successful in empowering thousands of children to discover themselves and respect the individuals they are.

If you know of or have children of 14 year’s of age and above whom you wish to benefit from our special Children’s Program, you can visit Body Makeover Systems in Santa Monica, CA.
